How do you add a climate plan to Futureproofed? What about new measures? What about ongoing measures? You will learn it all step by step below.👇🤩

What should you be able to do with this new climate plan?

  • Structure measures and actions in your own way

  • Filter on the measures and actions of your new plan

  • Gaining insight into the measures and their impact

  • Report on the measures and actions of your new plan

Build your climate plan step by step

1. Build your climate plan structure

Start by adding a new plan, give it a fitting title and add a short description. Note that only Admins can build new plans. It's possible you can't add a new plan anymore if you've reached the limits of your licence plan.

In a next steps start thinking about the bigger structures in your plan. For this you can use the clusters. Keep in mind that it's possible to add clusters below a cluster. Take a moment to think how detailed you would like to go. The higher the complexity the plan structure, the bigger the work load to manage the plan.

Example Structure: Climate Plan 2030

  • Cluster: Renovation 2030

    • Cluster: Renovation of district X

    • Cluster: Renovation of district Y

    • ....

  • Cluster: Renewable energy 2030

  • Cluster: Economy 2030

  • Cluster: Mobility 2030

    • Cluster: Soft mobility

    • Cluster: Electrification

  • Cluster: Green infrastructure 2030

  • Cluster: Water 2030

  • ...

2. Add measures and actions

Once you have added the bigger structure, you can start adding measures and actions.

  • New measures and actions:

You can pick new measures from our list or create them yourself. You can also find inspiration for actions in our list or create them yourself.

  • Existing measures and actions:

It's also possible to reuse measures/actions from other or previous plans. Keep in mind that this remains one and the same measure, so changes done from one plan will cause changes in the measure/action in all other places it is linked to.

Tips:

  • It's always better to start from your plan overview to add new elements (clusters/measures/actions). In this way the element is already in the right place, linked to the right element in the plan. Don't worry, in case you made a mistake you can simply drag and drop the element to the correct place.

  • It might be interesting to use the subtitle function, in case you're working with similar measures with small differences. This can be done by opening the measure and clicking "Edit title" in the three dots menu.

  • You can choose to have multiple levels of the same element, like adding a measure under a measure. Be careful with putting mitigation measures underneath each other, as this might lead to double counting of the CO2 impact.

  • Make sure to double check the objective and data parameters for your measures. This can be prone to errors and strongly influence different graphs.

When you're done with all this, your plan is in Futureproofed! 👍 Well done. From now on you can:

  • Filter on this climate plan;

  • Report via PDF and Excel about the measures and actions;

  • Gain insights into the measures via the analysis tab.
