The overall aim of your climate measures is to reduce emissions. However, it can also be valuable to have insight on energy savings and/or renewable energy production.
Where to find numbers on energy in Futureproofed?
Numbers on energy savings or renewable energy production for measures can be found in the 'background' tab of a specific measure (if applicable).
My energy fields are empty, what now?
In case the energy fields in the background-tab of a measure are empty, you can do two things:
Nothing, because those fields don't directly apply to that type of measure (eg., reducing food waste, planting trees)
You need to look up the value in our library of measures (this is due to the fact that you've added this measure before this functionality became available).
How to look up the energy values in our library of measures?
Go to the Futureproofed-library of measures by going to the 'measures' tab and click on 'new measures' en than 'Add a measure from the list'. You will end up in the measure-library and can look for the measure in question. Click on the measure and it will open the 'preview'. Where you can find the numbers on energy.
Take over the relevant energy value and copy-paste it in your own measure.
‼️ Don't add the measure again to avoid double counting. ‼️ If you just click on another tab (for example, back to 'measures'), the measure is not added. The only way to add the measure is if you would click on 'add this measure', so don't do the latter. 😉
In case the measure results in an energy saving, the following sentence can be found in the preview of the measure:
"For every KPI we're saving x kWh every year"
In case the measure results in the production of renewable energy, the following sentence can be found in the preview of the measure:
"For every KPI we're producing x kWh of renewable energy every year"
⚠️ Make sure to add the number to the correct field in the background tab of the corresponding measure.👇
