The baseline and monitoring emission inventories (SE(C)AP compatible), without urban emissions, have already been uploaded for you when you start up your city.
Has an emission inventory of a new year been published (read here what you need to do)? Or have you collected figures on urban consumption, and do you want to upload those yourself? In this article we explain how you upload these data in bulk.
Do you want to add consumption per fuel and per sector separately or change it? Read how that works here.
Which data can you upload in bulk?
Your consumption data (MWh) per fuel but no direct CO₂ emissions yet at this stage.
You will find these data regarding all the Flemish municipalities that VITO (Flemish Institute for Technological Research) developed for the Flemish Environment, Nature and Energy Department here. You must then still correctly enter the city consumption (for buildings, the fleet and public lighting) in the tool.
If you have the completed SEAP template available(i.e. data in bulk), go to ⚙️ > “Data input”. Then click “click here”.
Copy the emission table of your annual consumption (MWh) from Excel, paste it and click “Continue”.
Select the year to which these data refer, check the data and click “Import these values” on the import to confirm.
After having uploaded bulk data, you can also change them manually per sector and per fuel under “Data Input”.
Tip: to be sure that the data was correctly read, such read data is shown before you import it. In this way, you can check that the correct data is uploaded.
N.B.! Do not forget to input the emission factors (tonnes of CO₂/MWh) per year (cf. emission factors). You also show the effect of local energy production by way of the electricity, heat/cold and biofuel emission factors, so: very important 🙂
Why does my final result in FutureproofedCities not correspond exactly?
By rounding of figures when inputting the zero measurements, the total results are not exactly the same as the zero measurements.
Which data can I not (yet) upload in bulk?
- General data regarding your city or municipality
- Emission factors (tonnes of CO₂/MWh) of electricity, biofuel and heat/cold. The other emission factors have already been entered (from SEAP template)
- Financial parameters
But let us hope that this will be possible in the near future. 😉
